Privacy &
cookies
The short version: we only collect what we need, we don't do ads, we never sell your data, and analytics cookies are off unless you say yes. The long version is below, for anyone who reads the terms and conditions (respect).
Who we are
This website is run by Ratby Sunday FC, an amateur Sunday league football club playing at Burroughs Park, Ratby, Leicestershire LE6 0XZ. We're responsible for the personal information described here. Questions about it go to RatbySundayFC@outlook.com. The site was built and is looked after for us by Nova Social Ltd.
What we collect and why
When you use the Join or Contact forms
Your name, email address and anything else you type in (phone number, position, experience, your message). We use it to reply to you and, for players, to invite you to training and sort out league registration. The lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running the club and answering people who get in touch, or steps you've asked us to take before joining. Depending on how the site is set up, the form either opens your own email app so you send it to us yourself, or it's delivered to our inbox by Formspree. We keep messages for as long as we need them, and delete enquiries that go nowhere within 12 months. Registered players' details are also held by the league and the FA under their own privacy notices.
Analytics (only if you say yes)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular (spoiler: it's the fixtures). It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_…) and Google receives details such as your device, browser, rough location and the pages you view. We don't use it for advertising, and we've told Google not to use it for ads either. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw any time with ; doing so also deletes those cookies. Google may process data outside the UK under its own safeguards; see Google's privacy policy.
Essential storage (always on)
A few small things are stored in your browser so the site works: your cookie choice (ratbyConsent, 12 months), whether you've already seen the pint pour this visit (ratbyPoured, until you close the browser), and, for club admins only, your admin login. These don't track you and don't need consent.
Club admins
If you help run the site, your login email and anything you add (fixtures, squad names and photos, sponsor details) is stored with Supabase, our database provider. Players named or pictured on the Squad or Gallery pages can ask us to remove them at any time.
Other services the site uses
- Vercel hosts the website and, like any web host, keeps short-lived server logs (including IP addresses) for security. Privacy policy
- Supabase stores the site's content (fixtures, results, photos) and sends it to your browser. Privacy policy
- Google Fonts supplies the lettering; your browser fetches it from Google, which sees your IP address. No cookies are set. More info
- FA Full-Time supplies the live league table. Your browser fetches it from the FA (
fulltime.thefa.com), which sees your IP address, like any website you visit. It runs walled off from the rest of this site. See the FA’s privacy policy. - Google Maps only loads on the Match Day page if you tap “Show the map”, and sets Google's own cookies when it does. Direction links open Google Maps in a new tab.
- Instagram and other outside links take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email RatbySundayFC@outlook.com and we'll respond within one month, faster than our left back gets back into position. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, though we'd love the chance to sort it first.
Changes
If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page. Last updated: September 2026.
